Forgiveness and Amish Grace

Is it possible to forgive a murderer? Would you be able to forgive the person who MURDERED someone you loved very deeply? This was the subject of the movie “Amish Grace” shown on the Lifetime Movie Network. Schematics for Peace: AC or DC

When electricity was discovered to have practical applications in the late 19th century, there were two proponents for the way it should be generated and distributed. One, by Thomas Edison, advocated the use of direct current (DC) where electricity generated by batteries flow only one way through the wire. The Recession on the Inside

We got another glimpse recently of what the recession can look like on the inside. Like many institutions, we have faced budget cuts and possible lay offs. Administrative leadership has, of course, been looking for any way possible to bring more money into our Detention Center. Thus staff hours have been extended from eight to twelve hours and we’ve been opening up to many more non-English speaking ICE (Immigration Control and Enforcement) kids. The reason for this is, of course, that more… Continue

Cameroon: Searching the Mind of the Girl Child.

Cameroon: Searching the Mind of the Girl Child.

It is truth and Universally acknowledged that world leaders have put in place many schemes, declarations and conventions over the years, to help salvage the unfair treatment of women and the girl child. But

enormous effort is still needed to ensure meaningful empowerment and gender equality on the ground.
