I am a graduate student at the University of Baltimore studying Negotiation and Conflict Management. I currently work at T.Rowe Price where I work with various internal and external groups to coordinate client activity.

I would like to focus on organizational conflict, specifically the reduction of interoffice tensions in the workplace. I am particularly interested in the integration of mediation in the workplace and also the implementation of dispute resolution infrastructure to address structural issues that sometimes bring employees into conflict unnecessarily.

It is my belief that conflict resolution processes have the potential to create a more favorable work environment, both in terms of efficiency but also in terms of increasing employee satisfaction. Sometimes this can be achieved through third party intervention, sometimes through activities that improve relationships or build confidence, and other times it is best achieved through the increase in trust that is fostered by favorable contact.
