See above - plus as an adult the decision to US site cruise missiles in the UK in the early 1980s helped reinvigorate my commitment to peace, and latterly my Quaker conections have encouraged and sustained my involvement in peace work.

I'm interested in nonviolent approaches to social change, and working towards creating a culture of peace at a local, community level. The relationship between religion and nonviolence. The role of language in contributing to states of peace or violence in society.
