Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
As one of the four programmes under the United Nations Institute for Training and Research’s (UNITAR) Peace, Security, and Diplomacy Unit, the Peacekeeping Training Programme (PTP) is one of the leading programmes for the preparation of civilian, military, and police personnel interested to serve in peace operations.
In 2008, responding to an increasingly pressing need, UNITAR embarked on restructuring PTP with the main objectives of developing a specialized training programme offering a systematic and comprehensive preparation to civilian, military and police personnel eager to serve in a peace operation. Today we offer a number of specialized, high level live trainings, regional workshops, and innovative e-learning courses, combining the training expertise of UNITAR with the vast peacekeeping experience of the United Nations, and the sectoral specializations of our partner institutions.
