-The relationship between modern communications, citizenship, effective governance and food security (in particular moving from passive information access to active citizen participation).

-ICT for networking, information sharing & consolidation and resource pooling in the rural development sector (including the role and responsibilities of civil society organisations, national and international NGOs, states and multilateral organisations in colloborating, sharing information, ideas and best practice in order to facilitate a more structured, efficient and financially viable & responsible development industry).

-Mainstreaming ICT4D through education systems and existing civil society institutions in developing countries.

-Inhibitors to state funded roll out of telecommunications infrastructure in the developing world.

-Development for tomorrow: reflecting and projecting.
