Profile Information

Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
The Center for Comparative Conflict Studies (CFCCS) is a research and educational center. Our aim is to become a space in which people can engage in the study of the dynamics of conflicts in a comparative framework. While most scholars tend to exceptionalize the conflicts they study, our aim is to work within a comparative framework that highlights broader dynamics of societies in conflict. Our interest and projects are focused on the conflicts in the successor states of the former Yugoslavia and on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as well as other conflicts worldwide.

Research Projects

Our work aims at conducting action research focusing on analysis of conflict and its aftermath. Based in Belgrade with focus on Balkan studies and post-conflict post-socialist studies we also aim at generating comparative analysis of societies in conflict. We aim to engage scholars from different conflict areas, to collaborate on innovative and unique research projects and academic conferences.

Educational Projects

In our educational project we aim to offer a platform for scholars, activists, and engaged citizens to explore, study, become informed about and explore issues related to Peace and Conflict Studies in the Post-Yugoslav states, as well as in other conflicts world wide. Our projects vary from study visits, to presentations, and Junior Scholars seminar.
