Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
I am a dedicated and diligent professional who combines strong academic abilities in the area of peacebuilding, conflict prevention and management. I hold a Master’s Degree in Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford. My final dissertation for this study focused on the area of Conflict Early Warning and Early Response Systems in ECOWAS Peace and Security Architecture. Soon after my Master degree I undertook further specific studies organized by the Cranfield University and Defense Academy of the UK, obtaining a certificate in Strategic Planning for Security and Development. I am currently a PhD research candidate in Peace studies at University of Bradford and my research topic is: Understanding ECOWAS’s role in the Interplay between Processes of Security Sector Reform policies and Conflict Prevention initiatives in West Africa (With Case Studies of Nigeria Niger-Delta and Northern Ghana regions).

My academic career is further complemented by extensive work experience gained from assisting, management, development and implementation of international peace building and conflict prevention programmes. I have a comprehensive knowledge of peacebuilding strategies, mechanisms, and networking skills. I have a strong experience with West African Non State Actor (NSA) programmes on peacebuilding and conflict prevention (Experience gained from West African Network for Peacebuilding, WANEP, World Peace Prayer Society and European Centre for Conflict Prevention). Furthermore, I have 7-years teaching experience as Head of Mathematics and Science with secondary education.

Throughout my academic career and work experience I have demonstrated attention to details when undertaking research and analysis and during the preparation of key reports for verbal and written presentation. I am quick to grasp new ideas and concepts whilst identifying key improvements to working practices and procedures that maximise efficiency and productivity without compromising quality of service. I am an excellent communicator proven in developing and maintaining positive and lasting relationships with colleagues and members of local communities in need.

I guess the trouble is Australia is so far away...but our Indigenous people, the Australian Aborigines are the oldest living culture in the world, and they will be very involved with it...it honors all beliefs. I have never been to one of these but the You Tube video looks so good:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtYGtp1Hp_c&feature=channel
Anyway, have a beautiful day

Hi Emeka,
Thank you so much for looking at the websites and for your kind offer of assistance. That is so lovely of you. I am still feeling my way in some of the areas I am working in and learning a lot as I go along, but I will certainly let you know if I could use your expertise and advice. Thank you!

I did not know about the Rotary Convention in Birmigham this year...if only it was in Sydney I could make it...lol. I wish I had the money to travel!

On a personal note I hope you and your family are fine and doing well.

I am happy and busy and wish I had more hours in the day sometimes. Strangely enough I manage, like most of us, to perform this crazy juggling act which keeps all the balls in the air, my feet on the ground, and meanwhile multi-tasking with my regular job and personal commitments hahaha

Never a dull moment...have a beautiful day

Hi Emeka,
I am very interested in West Africa and your work sounds amazing. Early Warning systems approaches are vital, and given the complexity of West Africa, it must be a fascinating area of study.
I am the Australian Co ordinator of SEDARVP-Ghana, an organisation that helps the poorest women, children, orphans and street children in Tamale, Ghana. I am currently trying to recruit more volunteers for the organisation and hopefully raise more funds for their great humanitarian work.
With that in mind, and also to draw together people who have the heart to change the world, I recently started a social network called Humanitarian Volunteers http:humanitarianvolunteers.ning.com

I hope you find the perfect job...peace and blessings, Arielle
