- What motivated you to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
- My motivation to study Peace and Conflict Resolution derives from my grandfather's experience as a survivor of the nuclear bomb attack in Nagasaki. Witnessing his suffering has shaped my indelible hatred toward war and violence.

- I was born in Tokyo, Japan, and came to the United States to pursue my undergraduate degree at Soka University of America, Aliso Viejo. I graduated from Soka in May 2008 with a degree in Liberal Arts. During my senior year at college, I interned and served as a certified mediator at Orange County Superior Court.
