CHINA HAS FUELED ENOUGH CONFLICTS IN AFRICA, NOW ARMS TO ZIMBABWE

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7360002.stm China power might not hard to beat by many African governments but sending a ship full of arms to volatile Zimbabwe is a far worse test to the continents powers. The Chines Government has already bought enough bloody oil from Sudan to fuel a genocide in Darur isn't that enough? No it isn't. China is increasingly become shameless. It has a ship full of arms hovering around the southern coast of Africa to have access to Zimbabwe. It's unbelievable how… Continue

But the most amazing times were ahead we had a field trip to Lebanon. I had not been… Continue

Hello, and thank you for getting back to me so quickly. My particular area of interest is in peace building and community development. It definitely does not have to be a paid internship but if there was a place for me to sleep that would be nice I suppose. I am not very picky I will admit.
thank you so much for your help. If you like my e-mail is mattpier@gmail.com and you can send any information you have there.

thank you again,
Matt

Hello,
My name is Matt Pierson and I am an Peace and Conflict Resolution masters student. It seems that you have a lot of experience working with throughout Africa. I am trying to find some sort of internship in Africa this summer but have so far not been too succesful in my search. I was wondering if you had any suggestions of places or organizations that I might try contacting?
Any help would be appreciated,
Matt Pierson

Hi Rosebell - its nice to have your perspective on the Kenyan conflict. While the west does have an interest in keeping African development slow, the media here also keep westerners separate from the reality of the conflicts. Ordinary citizens, at least in the US, get very poor reporting on African affairs. So, to hear an organic opinion such as yours is always insightful.

Cheers!
