Profile

What motivated you to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
Memories of my grand-father and his stories about the World War II .
Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself (no more than 3 paragraphs)
I work and live in D.C. However, at some point I hope to move to Sweden to do a Ph.D. in conflict resolution. Some of my interests are: human rights, minority protection, use of IT in conflict prevention, and the role of myths in CR.

In former Soviet Union, I am interested in Central Asia and Caucasus. Then there is Balkans, and East Africa.

i just took a look at the handbook. thank you. it seems really interesting. thanks. i will try to think of something regarding information technology and conflict transformation. it is not such a well-researched area to my knowledge so nothing pops up in my mind. if it does i will let you know.

hi amina. pleased to hear from you. you are in DC? i am applying for some phds there this december.. and some other programs. and you work for AED. they used to fund my radio show in croatia. lovely. i liked dc, so hope you do too. as for the link, thanks, i will check it out. if you want i will you send you my thesis. it is not the best thing science has ever seen but i am giving it my best.

I see that you have interest in Caucuses region. I am interested in connecting Americans, Russians and ethnic Caucasians in a drama project. While I have contacts in Pyatigorsk, I would like to meet people who have education and theatrical backgrounds.
