- What motivated you to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
- I was motivated to become involved in peace and conflict resolution by a profound sense of justice, which probably resulted from so often being in a minority, and from being hurt by unresolved conflicts.
- Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself (no more than 3 paragraphs)
- Marc Forget is a trainer and facilitator who, for many years, has conducted participatory and transformative learning workshops around the world on peacemaking, non-violence, reconciliation, human rights education, restorative justice, community building, and non-violent advocacy. He trains facilitators in many countries for various national and international NGOs. In recent years many of these training sessions have been on the use of the participatory/transformative approach to education. Marc is co-founder of Deep Humanity Institute, a non-profit organization that creates and implements conflict transformation programs in the school and workplace environments. Marc regularly speaks at universities and conferences, and is the author of many publications on justice, reconciliation and peace.
