What motivated you to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
To get in touch with other peacebuilders around the world.

Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself (no more than 3 paragraphs)
I am a lawyer from Los Andes University in Bogotá- Colombia. I also got my M.A. in International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame, IN. I have extensive experience in conflict resolution and peacebuilding, especially in Colombia, but I have done some work in Canada and the Philippines. My area of expertise is conflict transformation and restorative justice, which include posts with the Colombian presidential
office and in the mayoral office of Bogotá, where I coordinated the implementation of a community-based conflict resolution programs. I also worked with the ombudsman’s office in the Board of Human Rights Complaints. I also have teaching experience in conflict transformation. In Canada, I have volunteered with the Mennonite Central Committee of Ontario and with Conflict Mediation Services of Downsview, in Toronto. I am also a founder of Peacebuilders International.
