That's most encouraging news about Kampala and Uganda as a whole. It's stormy climate here now, we're happy over the rains as our farmers need them but we don't like strong winds really (only moderate winds to run our new wind mills). Our economy is on Boom mode now, it's our home run to 'maturity phase' of development, but we're threatened by the oil and food crises that are external to us but affect us. No worry, at least we're way out of the Dark Age of Martial Law years (72-86), we don't mind some phoney rebellions that will soon end too (separatist rebels will sign peace agreement this year). I am very worried about the 3rd World War looming, that will crash us Southern peoples and economies some steps back and we might end up starting all over again.

Good to hear from you. Good luck to your concerns as a recent university grad. From our side here we know that Kampala is a very beautiful city, I hope to visit your country in case I'd have the opportunity. It's almost 30 yrs now since the Dark Age there ended (ours is barely 23 yrs after our Dark Age), so I guess Uganda has shaped up fast and is among Africa's emerging markets. Keep in touch.
