Event Description

The Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies at the University of San Diego is accepting applications for the 2010-2011 M.A. Program in Peace and Justice Studies. http://www.sandiego.edu/peacestudies.

The Master of Arts in Peace and Justice Studies is a full-time interdisciplinary program emphasizing peace as human development. The Peace and Justice Studies Program accentuates the integration and use of theoretical and practical materials from ethics, world religions, international relations, conflict resolution, development, and human rights along with the acquisition of skills necessary for successful pursuit of peace and justice goals.

Students may choose from the following concentrations: Conflict Analysis and Resolution, Development, Human Rights, or Human Security. Students from all four thematic areas will engage in dialog with each other and the Program’s faculty.

The Program takes full advantage of the School of Peace Studies’ two institutes: the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice and the Trans-Border Institute.

Master of Arts in Peace and Justice Studies students come from over 20 countries and bring many cultural and religious traditions.
