From January 17-21, 2011, 50 teachers gathered in Northern Uganda's Lira District to participate in the first TWB Peace Education workshop in Uganda, in partnership with the Foundation for Integrated Rural Development (FIRD). This workshop was the official launch of TWB's Peace Education Program in Uganda, and also the first TWB workshop to take place in Africa.

Oh wow. I discovered this by CHANCE! ... but I lived in northern Uganda for almost 6 months in 2010 conducting a research study on peace education initiatives in Gulu, Kitgum and Pabbo districts. Were you involved or are still involved with this initiative? I would love to correspond with you sometime about your work. I'm returning to Uganda this summer to follow-up and to help lead and participate in a study and service program!
