Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
My current work focus is developing collaborations between Canada and other countries interested in accessing Canadian economic, and business franchise opportunities.

PCP Canada currently acts as a business exchange and is seeking country representatives to establish new offices internationally.

Through our network of offices internationally we participate in profitable enterprise projects, franchising multiple turn key businesses from Canada to markets where these products and services can be marketed. Creating local jobs!

We are firm believers of Peace through Economy and dedicated to increasing global capacity through business relationships, trade and economic development.

I encourage interested parties to review our website, and if our company programs and projects are interesting to you, please contact us through e-mail and we would look forward to sending you our country office enrolment package.

Do PCDN gender/legal experts have any thoughts on the Dominique Strauss-Kahn rape & criminal probe?

Do our gender/legal experts have any thoughts on the Dominique Strauss-Kahn rape charges, and criminal proceeding?

The silence that follows a rape is a quiet fear. Especially when a powerful, wealthy aristocrat is implicated.

I could be wrong, but my understanding of the events surrounding the rape of a hotel maid by Dominique Strauss-Kahn  (DSk) has been moving from a criminal proceeding to a political “wag the dog” made for TV drama.

Will DSK…

Are religious & spiritual people even qualified to call themselves Peace professionals?

It’s an interesting question to ask, and I wonder how the institution and organization employed PCDN members view our more independent spiritual members who use words, terms and blessings like “God be with you” “Light & Love to you” “You are doing Gods (or other deity) work” and the such.

Does a peace professional need to understand the inner spiritual aspects of peace… Continue

Imagine a world where every community has an economic & culture incubator/social innovation centre.

In 2000 Peace & Conflict Planners became a pioneer in developing business incubators for private sector clients. We could immediately recognise the potential for these projects and centres for humanitarian development application.

For those of you not yet familiar with the term or concept, Business incubators are programs designed to accelerate the successful development of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support resources and services, developed and… Continue

Hello John, thanks for voting, going to the Global Media forum in a couple of weeks and hope to get more votes - I will also create other questions.

I see that you are also in the "innovation" side of the field and really resonated with many things on your PCP website.  It is very interesting work you do, have you heard of PeaceNexus.org?, they are a foundation that looks to fund innovation in the field.  I think they are a good resource for us.

I am working on creating a framework that applies social marketing to conflict and peacebuilding -should be finished by the fall, I have various projects that I have developed. reaching different target groups in different countries.  I have sent them to potential partners that have shown interest, I think one of the problems which you must know is obtaining funding for a new type of intervention. I am curious what kind of partnership you were thinking of,  for me the ideal situation is working as a social marketing consultant for NGO's that are already working with a target group, but want to increase impact and also use multi-channel approach to social change.  I also really would like to see as much local capacity used as possible.

In anycase, I think we should talk, I like what you guys do and wonder how you would see a partnership (how does that work for PCP?

thanks for your interest, Monica
