Hi Ariana, how is your research going in Rwanda? I became particularly interested in the Rwanda situation when I met Former Lieutenant General Romeo Dallaire on several occasions in Canada and a few years later at the Child Soldiers Simulation exercise other wise widely known as Exercise Prodigal Child. He wrote the book 'Shake hands with the devil' a reference to the Genocide there. Serving in Rwanda in 1993 as a UN force Commander, he and his small group of UN peace keeping force were faced with peril as they were abandoned by the world's major powers in the turbulence of war and genocide. Impotent to act due to limited resources, General Dallaire and his small group of soldiers were witness to the brutal murder and massacre of innocent civilians. The General returned to his home in canada feeling broken hearted and despairing at the failure for humanity and the powers that be to help curb the blatant human rights violations. This book and his long campaign afterwards that still goes on is a bout his struggle and those of his colleagues to find measure of peace, hope, reconciliation and a complete stop to that inhumane act and genocide. Hope we can talk more later. The book is a good read, and I can't stop flipping the pages once I started. best wishes from Sierra Leone, Andrew

I would like to inform you that Lahore High Court Bar Association has constituted a Human Rights Committee, and I am appointed as Secretary of this Committee.
Human Rights conditions are worst in the entire third world that is why it is considered as third world. In our context in Pakistan it is worst too, but now people are getting aware of it. In "Thanas"/ Police station, in Prisons and even in courts, what happens with a person is beyond the imaginations.
Hope you will share your ideas with us and help us to do some good work in this regard.
I will be extra pleased to welcome you, whenever you happened to come to Lahore High Court Bar. This would be grate honour for me.
