Scholarships for Post Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution Skills – Centre for Peace and Reconciliation Studies, Coventry University, UK. July 2010

This course enables you to develop a range of practical and analytical skills that will increase your ability to intervene constructively in a range of different types of conflict situations at the inter-personal, inter-communal and international levels. We explore such concepts as peace, violence, justice & reconciliation along with a range of topics including nonviolence & peace-building. The course is delivered through a two-week intensive summer school, followed by distance learning.

Hello,
I am actively looking for a career opportunity in the field of dispute resolution and conflict management. I am a recent graduate from a well established university in the USA, with a Master's Degree in conflict management from SMU (USA) and another Master's degree in international develpment from a german university, I have previously work in west and southern Africa as a development consultant, but I know how well my input can be appreciated if given the opportunity. There is a dire need for this type of course, particularly for practitioners in Nigeria. This is against the background of the seeming intractible conflict in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.
