CHALK4PEACE the global chalk art project for peace Sept. 2010

CHALK4PEACE is the global chalk art project for peace that happens every September. It is organized, coordinated and administered by CHALK4PEACE, Inc. the 501(c)(3) formed to
maintain and expand the project. This is its fifth year; we expect more than 500 sites on five continents; and have so far drawn more than 47 miles of sidewalk with chalk art about peace.More than a quarter of a million "CHALKSTARS" have participated so far since the project went global in 2006.

CHALK4PEACE 2010 has already had events in Kauai, Hawaii and Quezon City Philippines. It is becoming a year round event for peace. More than 250 schools have integrated it into their programs. Shown St. George's Cathedral, Cape Town, S. Africa photo: Angela Rackstraw
