Thanks Reshma for your feedback. We use online tools as these are the most cost effective, with the best ability for reach and engagement. Last year 55,000 people supported the stories of nominees and we reached close to 1.8 million via social media tools. This is of course not a perfect process – not all people have access to the internet or the same literacy for social media and online communications tools – yet it has proven an effective way to reach wide audiences, at nationally, regionally and globally to promote women’s leadership for peace.  The real purpose of the voting period is not to identify a winner; it is to engage thousands of people to read the stories of women peace advocates.

I am happy that their work and effort has been acknowledged but voting through internet is not quite a right thing . So how women for underdeveloped countries going to receive votes when internet service is limited to urban areas and most of the votes are being manipulated.

People are using their resources to vote for themselves.  But I am not discouraging to vote . Please do vote for these women and support them.
