2011 INTERNATIONAL NEIGHBOURHOOD SYMPOSIUM
Tuesday, 28 June – Sunday, 3 July 2011
The Center for International and European Studies (CIES) at Kadir Has University will host the 1st International Neighbourhood Symposium on “Understanding the Common Neighbourhood – The Black Sea Region in Focus” to be held on the island of Heybeliada near Istanbul, Turkey from Tuesday, 28 June – Sunday, 3 July 2011.
The International Neighbourhood Symposium aims to promote further understanding and cooperation in the Black Sea region and beyond by providing a forum for study, dialogue and networking in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment. Young professionals and graduate students primarily from the countries of the Black Sea area, EU member states, and the United States are welcome to apply.
The CIES project enjoys the support of numerous international partners and sponsors including the Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation, Harvard University Black Sea Security Program, Open Ukraine Foundation, the Institute for Regional and International Studies, the International Centre for Democratic Transition, the International Relations Council of Turkey, Kadir Has University and the Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey.

Comment by magda osman mohamed saleh on March 14, 2011 at 7:45am ااسلام العالم بعد ثورة الأتصالات اصبح قرية صغيرة وفهم الجوار ليس محصور علي ليس الجوار الجغرافي لتعزيز التفاهم والتعاون وهذا لا يعني دول البحر الاسود فقط اضافة الي التغيرات التي طرأت علي المنطقة مثب قيام الثورات والحركات في المنطقة العربية لابد من تبادل الحوار والتفاهم حول أمن وسلامة المنطقة
أتمني أن أشارك في هذه الندوة حيث أن السودان حلقة وصل بين الشمال في البحر الأسود والبحو الأبيض المتوسط والشمال الأفريقي والدول الأفريفية
