Wish you all the best and hope that peace will return to the region one day... my only question is would this confrence be able to initiate peace without involving Taliban-whether good or bed ones. It seems only the like minded countries and organizations are participating this conference...?

Central to the New Silk Road vision is the goal of re-establishing Afghanistan as a pivotal land bridge that connects Central and South Asia and, more broadly, deepens commercial ties between East Asia and Europe and the Middle East.

At last year’s Kabul Conference, the Afghan Government introduced a comprehensive transportation program, now they have to work with their neighbors to make trade and commerce flow swiftly across borders, and not be delayed by excessive bureaucracy and corruption.

May your efforts to promote peace and development along the New Silk Road be successful.  Good luck!

Best wishes Lisa!

Try your best to keep the players on the right track... will be good to hear from you on its proceedings and your calculation of the terms they set for peace!

I am not worry to conflicts and war, because conflicts doesn't opposite of "peace", peace belong to the GOD, and conflicts producted by human - person (when we say human it's mean "ONE humanity), there are almost 7 million human person in our world, so we have almost 7 million posibilities for conflicts  and wars, those are our analogy of capacity of anlitically thinking mind brain system.

In the left side of our head there are other thinking mind system being happen of "synyhetic higher mind system", the user of this left side system thinking is "our true self" -  power in waiting. The stories of our world driven only by few person one who able to related to his "true self" , true self action in the world of "public" trough "full consciousness"  (eling in Java ancient culture) of one or more people in the world.

To day, showing thousands people with full concious in our world, they are radiated peace and love for whole people, so why we , people in love to peace co-operative in this group Peace and Collaborative Development........................

interesting points raised.

as a Pakistani with a stake in the anti-terrorism activist movement, i can only say one thing. we are bound the repeat the mistakes of the past. negotiations are between parties willing to negotiate on a full spectrum of issues, but in Afghanistan, the US and the US supported leaders desire to have a settlement on 'their' points, will be futile.

we have seen over and over again in the 10 years since the American 'invasion' (in George Bush's words), of Afghanistan, peace efforts failing because the actors on the stage were not the people who the peace matters for.

still, Afghanistan - India - Iran - Pakistan and the ignored China, will be the pawns in the great game, which has now gone from British hands to the Americans.

still, peace is the only option, only the issue of peace on whose terms is to be settled.
