The Elders

Age doesn’t matter when it comes to the promotion of peace. Young children have evoked positive human rights changes around the world. Elders in many communities across the globe have for generations played

the role of political advisors looking out for the welfare of future

generations and being positive mentors of the young. Everyone,

Nobel Peace Prize 2008/2009

When Nobel committee last year selected Mr. Ahtisaari – an unofficial spokesperson of US State department and Nato – as Nobel prize Peace laureate this years selection was not surprise. The choice of Martti Ahtisaari as this years winner undervalues - again – those original ideas. Ahtisaari got the prize probably about his actions as mediator in Namibia, Aceh and Kosovo. Namibia went according UN peace plan, Aceh was acceptable compromise and Kosovo everything else.

Nobel Committee's choice again a scandal

Ahtisaari has repeatedly functioned as "peace fixer" for Western power elites. In 1999 he was the envoy who persuaded the Serb state to give in after NATO's 78 days of bombing, the most brutal event in… Continue
