Around 800,000 people are trafficked across borders annually. 80% are women & girls. We ask “Why?” www.asafeworldforwomen.org

In Canada, one woman in four is sexually abused by age 16. Women for a Change asks “Why?” www.asafeworldforwomen.org

In Mexico around 5,000 children are involved in prostitution, pornography & sex tourism. We ask “Why?” www.asafeworldforwomen.org

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. November 25th

On December 17, 1999, the United Nations General Assembly designated 25 November as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (Resolution 54/134). The UN invited governments, international organizations and NGOs to organize activities designated to raise public awareness of the problem on this day as an international observance. Dear Zoneziwoh,

Your words are so full of kindness, generosity and encouragement that I felt unworthy of them. Thank you so much!

It is so good to know someone who shares values, dreams and ideals with us. I hope that we will stay in touch and hopefully, one day, I will have the privilege of meeting you.

I have this immense love and admiration for Africa and I do hope to travel all the continent working, teaching and serving people. I have been to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana back in 1998, when I was a Fellow to the Kellogg International Leadership Program.

Please keep me updated with your work. Take care!!!
