What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?

I graduated with an MA in Religion and Modernity, at Queen's University, Kingston, Canada.
My broader academic background is in Anthropology and Peace studies. I am concerned with issues in religion and modern society, from phenomenon of religious fundamentalism, to ethno-clericalism, secularization, the influence of religion on politics, and the relationship of religion and various kinds of conflicts.
I envision my professional career as related to the fields of international politics, conflict analysis and religious issues. I am not interested in highly academic and theoretical approach with little connection to what happens in the "real world".
That's why I'm looking for further studies that will equip me with some rather practical knowledge and direct my career towards the NGO sector, civil service and community engagement.
