- What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
- I'd like to learn new methodologies and find tools in order to work towards peace building and collaborative development through ICTs.
- Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
- Journalist, graduated in Social Communications in 1988, post-graduated in Marketing and specialized in Strategical Management of Information; Local Development with a Gender Perspective; Communications and Culture.
Working for more than 15 years with communication for development within Brazilian NGOs, with intense participation in local and global processes related to ICT and communication for development, such as the CRIS Campaign and the WSIS process. Has a consolidated experience as editor of on-line media.
Presently coordinates Rits' Center for Research, Studies and Capacity Building (Nupef). Has a large experience in mobilizing civil society entities and networks towards political discussion and action related to ICT for development, managing and coordinating social projects, and representing Rits in national and international projects and political processes.

I hope I am not too demanding. But, can you lead me to a middle school teacher in Brazil? Ideally, he or she should be interested in taking the message to her students. She will have to dedicate 6 hours every month for 9 months in the year - yes, we will pay her for her time. The school children will enjoy networking with 14 schools in USA, India, Philippines and Tanzania.
