- What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
- I am an idealist who is hopeful to see the United States live up to its potential as a leader for liberty and human advancement.
I am also a realist who has seen the U.S. temporarily turn its back on the best opportunities for international cooperation: Kyoto, the ICC, the UN, the Geneva Conventions...
I came to this field as an historian studying U.S. foreign policy and the Middle East. I am interested in the living interpretation of history and its impact upon peace processes.
I am also interested in the impact that the media has in conflict and the potentially positive role that Conflict Analysts can play through the media.
