What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
motivated by the civil war that took place in my country and how attempts for peaceful settlement were dragged.
ALSO BY THE FACT THAT WE STILL HAVE A CULTURE PROCLIVITY TO VIOLENCE IN MY COUNTRY. AND THAT THE WORLD OVER IS A CONFLICT PREDILECTION ENVIROMENT.

I AM NIMENE MYERS FROM LIBERIA. INVOLVE WITH SOCIAL RELATED WORK WITH A GOAL TO BRING SOCIETAL TRANSFORMATION. HAVE UNDERGONE TRAININGS IN PEACE AND CONFLICT STUDIES AT THE ROTARY CENTER FOR PEACE AND CONFLICT STUDIES, CHULALONGKORN UNIVERSITY (THAILAND), WITH EXCURSION STUDIES TO CAMBODIA, AND LAOS. HAVE ALSO WORKED WITH INMATES, EXCOMBATANTS, AND THEIR VICTIMS, AS WELL AS WORKING WITH YOUTHS, AND WOMEN GROUPS.

NOW A LECTURER AT THE KOFI ANNAN INSTITUTE FOR CONFLICT TRANSFORMATION, UNIVERSITY OF LIBERIA. ALSO MY ORGANIZATION (LIFE-LINE LIBRIA INC. A LOCAL NGO ADVOCACY FOR PEACE EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES AS THE ARROWHEAD FOR BUILDING A CULTURE OF PEACE IN LIBERIA AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE CULTURE PROCLIVITY TO VIOLENCE, GIVEN THE WAR, NOW PARTNERS WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION IN HER TEACHERS REEDUCATION PROGRAM TO HAVE THE TEAACHERS TEACH PEACE EDUCATION, HUMAN RIGHTS, AND CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION IN LIBERIAN SCHOOLS (PRIMARY, AND SECONDARY).

Thank you! I helped out a Liberian family in refugee resettlement and my favorite professor is an expert of Liberian politics and issues.....I would like to know more about your works with youth.

I miss my country of Cambodia. I didn't get a chance to visit s-21 but my family has tons of stories from their experience.
