Michelle Lee Rosenthal, LMSW said… A TEDX OCCUPY PEACE SOUNDS good but I do not know if they will go for the "Co -branding" Aspect of it. We could try or just change the name. Possibly organizing a In Support of PEACE ONE DAY Event called Occupy Peace on 9/21 would be acceptable if you wanted to stay with the Occupy theme.
Michelle Lee Rosenthal, LMSW said… Hi I got your comment on my blog. I think it is a good idea. The more TedTalks about peace the better. Would you like to help with the one that I have applied to organize for 9/21/12 or were you thinking of organizing one sooner if so when and what exactly will be your theme of the peace tedxoccupy exactly? My theme is how can humanity go peaceful and green essentially. I am suggesting two ideas myself, one is for us to push for a re-signing of the Kellogg Briand Pact of 1928 which many countries signed renouncing war as a foreign policy. If the countries today can recommit to this concept in a treaty signed by most if not all countries it will be a step in the right direction. We would then have to expand on courts, international courts, international criminal courts, arbitration and mediation for conflict resolution. The other concept that I have is for the development of a Global Truce Anonymous 12 Step fellowship for people to overcome our addiction to fighting, violence and war. What are your thoughts about how humanity can ever end war as an option? Would you like to organize a peaceful occupy the UN calling for a peaceful peace? Sincerely, Michelle
