Profile Information

What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
I come from a conflict torn areas in the North eastern part of India.
I have seen the pain and agony of peoples sufferings for no fault of theirs.
Hence i enrolled in PG studies under Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong Meghalaya India to know, learn and contributes something on building a peaceful and harmonious society.

First class PG certificate holder in Master In Social Work from Indore School of Social Work, Madhya Pradesh (India) with six year of working experiences

1. World Vision India: Two years (Aug. 2004-Aug. 06) as Community Development Coordinator under Guwahati Street Children Project, Assam.
2. NEICORD: Aug.2006 to May 20th 2008 as Project Officer with NEICORD, Shillong
3. Catholic Relief Service, since May 2008 as Program Officer (present).

Core responsibilities: Correspondence with supporting partners, financial management mentoring the partner, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building of local implementing partners, liaising with state, district administration and church leaders of North East India; assisting the partners in developing proposal and emergency response works.
Currently pursuing PG in Peace Studies course under Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong (Meghalaya, India) having keen interest in Human Rights, Peace building and Disaster Management believes in Team Work and oneness of humankind.
Core competencies include: Interpersonal relationship and communication, ability to form working relationship with people of all kinds and believe in team work, ability to work under pressure and computer knowledge on MS Office and social networking. Oral and written proficiency in English and spoken Manipuri, Mizo, Hindi and several tribal dialects of Mizoram, Manipur & Nagaland.
