What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?

It was introduced to me by a friend, Yves Renee Jennings, and as a peace-building practitionar, I knew that there will be a lot to learn from the members and a lot to share from my personal and professional experiences.

Peace Uwineza, works with the Institute of Research and Dialogue for Peace, based in Kigali, Rwanda. She also worked for the Unity and Reconciliation Commission set up to address reconcilation issues in Rwanda following the 1994 Genocide. Peace has been involved in several reesearch projects on peace building in Rwanda, gender issues related to peace building and gender based violence. She is a graduate of George Mason University's Institute of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (Masters, 2007) which she pursued as Fulbright Scholar. She also holds a Bachalor of Commerce degree and a Deploma in Education.

I am working as a researcher at the Institute of Reseach and Dialogue for Peace, Kigali, Rwanda.
