I was surprised, having missed the incident at the time, to learn from Jon Oberg's blog post of Arun Gandhi's resignation from the M. K. Gandhi Institute of
Non-Violence he headed, at the University of Rochester (NY). The resignation followed a public furor, and
criticism by Rochester University's president, invoked by his remar

Happy Super Tuesday, Americans. In Israel/Palestine it's just an ordinary day but, as in every other corner of the world, many are watching the long and creaky old election process with bated breath. We know that the next president won't bring salvation or even undo much of the damage of the incumbent. All the candidates take care to signal to Israel that Nothing Will Change with regard to America's historic alliance, and also make s

Violance, war, conflicts, sufferings my desire to see world in peace and non violance has motivated me to join this network."Vasudev kutukbkam" entire world as a family, this was a teaching of our culture and traditional.we created countries, boundries, religions, cast, race for a genuine reason or a false reasons for any reason.but this the time to realise that we are one and we naturaly interconected with each other ,which we can just realise by watching inhale and exhale of breaths the source is same ,without any descrimanation, religion, bonundries, equaly for all living life of universe .When we understand this simple thing then we must understand how our and other's life is equaly important, valuble ,respectable .we should follow the nature's rule ,non violance .peace ,god has given us a human life not for destruction but for lookafter the wellbeing of all living life.

Good to see you on this site. It has been some years since I was a volunteer at Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam. I trust you are all well. After my time in Israel, I ended up completing a Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies back in Australia.

I am continuing my work as a teacher, studying law part-time and keenly seeking out opportunities to meet with Jewish, Muslim and Christians to share perspectives of the conflict and look for new possibilities.
Many thanks for your comment on my Kosovo analyses. I hope you will find time also to visit http://www.transnational.org at some point.
I don't know Arun Gandhi personally, but I believe he would be interested in your analysis and hope you have sent it to him. Your point about university President Seligman shooting himself in his foot (or so I understand you) is very well taken. Gandhi was careless, yes, but this should not have been allowed to be the outcome - particularly not after his very clear and serious apology. In that many also showed that they do not have a sense of forgiveness - and thereby to a certain etent proving Gandhi's point.
My best
Jan

my name's Sara, I'm doing a degree in Peace and Conflict Studies in Germany and I am very impressed with the Neve Shalom video. I have heard of Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam many times and I have been considering going back to Israel to learn from projects like it for some time now.
Do you know if there are any chances of doing an internship in Neve Shalom? Also, I'm planning to write my master thesis on "bottom-up", "counter-hegemonic", peace- and development-approaches in theory and practice (to sum it up incomprehensively but conveniently in a few catchphrases) and I think an encounter with NS/WAS would be very informative and inspiring in that respect.
Thx for managing NS/WAS's website - it is a really interesting read!
Kind Regards
- Sara
