This is a complicated issue, far more complicated than just religion....it also differs greatly by country/ region..nevertheless, here are some very broad thoughts about this ....
it boils down to the matter of resources, and how they are distribut…
It's obvious Islam has problems - but what about its good points? Do you see any?
So what can we do about the issue? I would suggest we look at the issues that lead to this violence - from both sides - why are women and girls vulnerable, and why are the men violent in this way?
They are true issues, but there are always ways around. The simplest thing is to support facilitators instead of projects. Facilitators can create true transformative change by encouraging the community to solve its own problems.

Passing the news on conviction of journalist Valerie Bemeriki for genocide:
