Hello again! Thanks for the heads up on Diwa. I am definitely interested in this, perhaps I have something to contribute. My recent trip to PI might be a source of inspiration. Thanks!

Well, if you are interested in the situation in Mindanao you should check out what USIP has been doing. Its interesting stuff and very current. Here's a link: http://www.usip.org/philippines/index.html
But your right, there should be more attention in that area, especially as it has links to other conflicts in the area.

I'm also interested in immigrant issues. Currently I volunteer as an advocate for domestic violence survivors in the asian/pacific islander community. As you can imagine, immigrants have a harder time getting the resources they need if they have been victimized. Because of language issues and other barriers.

well, I've always be interested in studying my country. You know, george mason univ is actually going to have a study abroad there this summer, and the focus is on grassroots peacebuilding. One of my colleagues is teaching it. I noticed your research is with immigrants, do you work with a specific community?
