My name is Joseph Silas I work for Goal Ireland in Sierra Leone in the capacity of Facilitator in the Disadvantage children and youth programme and I am charged with the responsibility to strengthen the psychosocial development of Disadvantage Children and youths especially those affected by Sierra Leone’s decade years of war and commercial sex workers. Advocate for the right and welfare of young people in Goal operational communities and Sierra Leone as a whole, and to carry on effective Family tracing and reunification of displaced Sierra Leonean children, backed up with the provision of reintegration support such as formal school education, skills training, small scale business and peer housing for children and youths whose family background are not successfully traced.
GOAL’s mission in Sierra Leone is working towards ensuring that the poorest of the poor and most vulnerable in our communities and those affected by humanitarian crises have access to the fundamental needs and rights of life, such as food, water, shelter, medical attention and literacy.
