- Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
- I am a doctoral student at the University of San Diego's School of Leadership and Education Sciences. I am working on my PhD in leadership studies with a focus on post-conflict community building. I will be conducting my dissertation research in Sierra Leone during the summer of 2009. I am originally from San Diego but lived in Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., and Moscow while completing my undergraduate and graduate studies in social work and international development at the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, I have also lived, worked and traveled extensively internationally. My work experience has been primarily in NGOs in Bosnia, Pittsburgh and San Diego around issues of refugee return and resettlement, community development and youth nonviolence. In addition to my studies, I currently run the Global Center at the University of San Diego's School of Leadership and Education Sciences and teach in the leadership minor and in the College of the Emeriti in the San Diego Community College District.
