What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?

Passion for Justice and Respect for each other.

After completing my graduate program in Interfaith Studies started working for an NGO in building alliances between divided and conflicting groups. I spent 5 years, traveling to some violent torn regions of India (Kashmir, Gujarat, Nagaland, Manipur and Assam) and Cambodia in facilitating Conflict Transformation and Leadership skills workshops and helping in mediation process for various target groups, namely, school children, college students, jobless youth, NGO staff, government officials, armed groups, police officers, church pastors, theologians and political leaders. I have and continue to actively work in dialogue groups on interfaith issues over the course of 5 years in India. Presently, I am doing my Master’s in Social Justice Program at the SIT Graduate Institute. I am envisioning working at the political sector, as I strongly believe that people at the top leadership need to go through the process of change to make an impact at every level in the society.
