Profile Information

What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
As a world historian with experience in global and economic development collaborations with schools in India, I am interested in creating opportunities for my students in meaningful and effective problem-solving efforts in the emerging world.
Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
I am an educator with 20 years experience both in Higher educational institutions and private high school. I have a Phd in Social Science with a double major in U.S. History and World History and research expertise in gender studies. My teaching focus has been 20th century world history with an emphasis on the developing world.

I am an expat from India currently residing and teaching at St. Paul Academy a college prep school in St. Paul Minnesota. I have developed both Multicultural curriculum and advanced world history courses for seniors in St. Paul Academy. During my tenure at SPA I have also had my seniors participate in the NAIS sponsored Global Challenge 20/20 project with schools in India.

I am currently working on locating schools from BRIICS countries to engage in a collaboration with my seniors in Spring 2010. I have a wiki and ning that educators can join to be part of the project.
