Susan F. Hirsch is Associate Professor in the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (ICAR) at George Mason University. From 1990-2004 she taught at Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT). Her training in legal anthropology (BA Yale 1982, PhD Duke 1990) led to research on Islamic law, gender relations, and law, conflict and disputing in East Africa. Her academic publications include Contested States: Law, Hegemony, and Resistance (co-edited with Mindie Lazarus-Black; Routledge, 1994), Pronouncing and Persevering: Gender and the Discourses of Disputing in an African Islamic Court (Chicago, 1998) and numerous articles and book chapters on law reform, gender and conflict, reflexive and participatory research, and language in the disputing process. Susan’s latest book, In the Moment of Greatest Calamity: Terrorism, Grief, and a Victim’s Quest for Justice (Princeton, 2007) received the 2007 Herbert Jacob Book Prize awarded by the Law and Society Association. Susan’s research interests and public speaking topics include Islamic law in the post-911 era, the politics of capital punishment and victims’ rights, debates over the war on terror, and new forms of global justice.

How r u? i would like to once again share you about me that i am doing work in Sindh Language journilism and i am also social and political activist would like take apart of any traning to improve my skills and abilitis for working best of the best on humantarian ground either in media, social or political way.

i think U intrest in peace.i'm a graduate in Peace & conflict Resolution in University of Kelaniya In Sri lanka.Then i studied in Internatioan Relations,Human Rigts,Counselling Psycology Diplomas.my last job is Youth national coordinator in anty war front in Sri Lanka.
Now i work in Human rights NGO.We help marginalized people in Sri lankan Conflict.
So we can share our peace knowladge & details
