What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?

After a being in the U.S. Army, 74-77, and having a career as a police officer I learned through experience the futility of using violence to end violence.

I currently serve on the executive board of the International Network of Museums for Peace and as director of the Missing Peace Art Space, www.MissingPeaceArt.org, a nonprofit art gallery dedicated to the various ways that art is used in its many forms to communicate peace.

During my tenure with the Dayton International Peace Museum I had the honor of interacting with wonderful peace people locally and throughout the world.
We established relations and networked with peace people through the International Network of Museums for Peace, our Global Peace Partnership and our Focus on Peace program.

Iran, India and Pakistan are countries that I have traveled recently and collaborated with contemporaries in those countries on peace museums or programs.
We also have contacts through our Global Peace Partnership with peace groups in several African nations.
