On March 21st 2009 a World Wide Hug Party will take place in clubs and galleries all over the world. We invite every city, village or town to join this initiative. Will you organise a World Wide Hug Party in your hometown?
We are all part of the collective consciousness, in which everything is connected with the universal energy. We are able to heal our planet and unite everybody in peace and tolerance. So let us demonstrate our unity, let us show our fellow-human beings that we all are One, no matter what kind of religion, race or culture we represent. We are able to love and respect each other.
In the evening of March 21st in Oceania, New Zealand and Australia people will start the Hug which will go around the world in 24 hours, the biggest chain of peace that you can imagine.
The idea is as simple as it is effective: just hug! When we hug each other we open our heart and we can feel the loving energy pounding between us. When we open our heart we unite our energy.
Be part of this event!

All the events will be broadcasted through the internet, to watch, to be watched, to hug and to be hugged.

Profile Information
- What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
- I am a victim of fourteen years of brutal civil war in my country. I know what it means when nation is at war with itself. As a victim, it is important to work for peace and share my experience of war so that the world will quit using war as the only option to its dissatifaction, and be a safer and better place for all people.
- Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
- I was born in the Township of Virginia, Liberia on 31 October 1974 to Rev. Steven Muin and Estelle as the second of nine children. I received my early education from the St. Mary Catholic High School (SMCHS) and later to the College of West Africa (CWA) in Monrovia where I graduated from High School in June 1993. I enrolled at the Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary in 1994 in pursuit of a bachelor in theology to prepare for ministry and graduated in 1999 being delayed by the civil war in my country. I was ordained to Christian ministry in April 2001 and received my first pastoral assignment to New Tabernacle Christ Pentecostal Church in Monrovia.
With a practicing lifestyle of one who educates, encourages and inspires others, I founded the "The Now Generation”, an organization gear toward inspiring young people to be active participants in confronting the challenges faced by youth in the "now" to ensure a better future. The organization mobilized and provided scholarships to hundreds of youth to pursuit formal and vocational education. I founded the Fellowship of War Affected Christians as the churches response to the humanitarian crisis that erupted as a result of fighting between former president Charles Taylor forces and the LURD rebels in Western Liberia.
My desire for peace led me to join the advocacy campaign and peace building initiatives of the Inter-Religious Council of Liberia, serving as Coordinator for youth programs. This role enables me share experiences and lessons learned at conferences in the sub-region, Japan, Tanzania, and the United States. My mission in life is to educate, encourage and inspire everyone who comes in contact with me. I attended the 2006 Summer Peacebuilding Program, CONTACT, of the School for International Training in the USA, and has been accepted for admission to pursue graduate studies in conflict transformation at SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont 2009 Fall.
