What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?

The situation around us all is worsening daily. We, peace loving people, can not just sit and watch the world being taken over by hatred. Everyone can contribute in some way or another. This is my bit.

I started off as a writer for television and later tried my hands at various media, including print and online. I, somehow, never found that satisfaction and kept on searching for that one thing to do which will give my soul some respite.

That was until I found the Women For A Change Community. I had joined casually, but something pulled me deep into this women's only community. This a a group of women, from all across the world. All, who hope for a balanced world, with no biases. A wold where peace reigns supreme. We are women, who want to do something to bring a change - "to bring balance back to the world".

I am now volunteering as CEO as well as India Coordinator of Women For A Change Foundation, trying to build a strong team of like-minded women. All this from a virtual headquarter, where women from around the world are volunteering in a similar way - working together to change the world.
