Peace, Ask Academy is blasting into 2011 with two new programs: B.P.P. or Bullying Prevention Program, and S.I.P. or Success Is Personal. We just recently partnered with Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, providing 2 Assemblies at John Gill Elementary School in Redwood City. The school had recently been experiencing cases of teasing and hitting, and made the smart decision of contacting Russell Brunson, the Director of School Programs at P.C.R.C. Hi Shakeel,
How goes it with you?
just wanted to share a story about youth and media.
two guys I've worked with in the past are working with the indigenous youth of Palm Island , hip-hop and video - I've just put up one of their YouTube clips on my page
something I read in the ASK charter on the website made me think of this video and so I thought I'd pay it forward,
Cheers,
Laszlo

Hiya Shakeel,
Just finished a year long project "Sudan To Tamworth" - conversations with Sudanese immigrants, especially young men, living and working in a country town in New South Wales called Tamworth - check out a sample of the video which has Sudanese Rappers TLB Click closing out the film - http://vimeo.com/9493583
For more information go to http://sovenmedia.net
I work mostly with people on the other side of the digital divide - a lot of projects over the last 8 years with marginalised & dissaffected youth - working now on multi platform - video, music, photography, text for online delivery - for community with community.
Checked out ASK - we're working in the same spheres it seems
Cheers my brother

Hi! Thank you very much for adding me sir! I am very new here & doesn't know what to do yet. This is a great site I discovered through a cousin just 2 days ago. I would like to think this one great opportunity for me to once again get involved, get loose of my inner desire for a better world & learn from everybody in this site. I know I am too small, but in this lifetime, I really wanna do something, I really wanna help, I really wanna make a difference!

Shakeel, I am now working on a entire seminar on the subject. The video is just a small piece of the full picture. I should be ready in a few months with the seminar but till then I will post some articles on the subject as I can. I looked at your profile and you would gain a great deal of insight and tools from what I have. I would gladly share it with you for free cause you have the passion for helping build a better future and the information is much to valuable to put a price tag on. Keep in touch, Steve
