What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
As an employee at The Conflict Resolution Center at the University of North Dakota we are involved in community mediation and conflict resolution as well as recent entrance into the international arena and peacemaking and peacekeeping.
Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
Sarah Bernhardt is a Service Coordinator/Trainer at the UND Conflict Resolution Center. Her roles as the Center include mediation facilitation, training, education, and development and marketing. She received her initial mediation training from the Center and has had additional training in Teambuilding, Conflict Management and Facilitation. She received her BA in Psychology, BS in Social Work, and MA in Counseling from the University of North Dakota. She is a licensed professional counselor and has 5 years of counseling experience in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. Sarah was an intern at the UND Conflict Resolution Center as well as served on the Board of Governors for the UND Conflict Resolution Center prior to becoming a staff member.
