Hello Ron

thank you so much for your continued interest and offers of support, for which we are really grateful.

I will email you as soon as I get a chance - this week's particularly mad as we are trying to meet a deadline for a funding application!

Kindest regards
Chris

Hello Ron,
thanks so much for your kind message and many apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
i hope to email Lisa, as you suggested, in the next few days.
And of course I'll copy you in too.
(so sorry that, in my last message to you, I didn't remember our previous communications! I'd recently landed back from Uganda, which was an overwhelming - but wonderful - experience, and was feeling quite out of touch!

With warmest wishes
Chris

Oh hey Ron, I just thought you might be interested in this project :) http://www.bioline.org.br/

Bioline International is a not-for-profit scholarly publishing cooperative committed to providing open access to quality research journals published in developing countries. BI's goal of reducing the South to North knowledge gap is crucial to a global understanding of health (tropical medicine, infectious diseases, epidemiology, emerging new diseases), biodiversity, the environment, conservation and international development. By providing a platform for the distribution of peer-reviewed journals (currently from Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Iran, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda and Venezuela), BI helps to reduce the global knowledge divide by making bioscience information generated in these countries available to the international research community world-wide.

Visited your website, and found the project promising. Of course, a lot of it is still under construction. Environmental medicine, for instance, is an interesting subjectforme.since India had spawned Ayurveda and Siddha, two very ancient formsof medicine thast make use of natural ingredients. We also have many folk remedies, which are now referred to as nature cure. I could share a lot on this with others all over the world. Ocean environment is another subject that interests me. I was in Florida reporting on the International Coral Reef Symposium last year on a Seaweb fellowship. But then, I consider myself a student on the subject, still learning. Anyway,I wouldn't collaborating on any project related to the subject, provided I can learn a little more!

I've now managed to get to your site - no idea why i had problems earlier!

really wonderful - what you're doing.

I will now post the lnk in our community and ask for suggestions as to how we might be able to collaborate in some way.

Thanks so much Ron

I'm actually going to be away till June myself - I'm getting married in two weeks time(!) and also many of our supporters are coming to our wedding here in the UK, and we've never met before- not even my co-founder and co-trustees, though i've skyped with them very often! So it's going to be a very big occasion and is taking most of my focus right now. We've got women coming from the States, Spain, Nigeria and possibly Sierra Leone. And then we're honeymooning to Israel and Jordan where we'll be meeting more 'WFAC' women, including a film producer in Jordan - so as you can see we have much to focus on right now.

But it would be really good to skype with you in June some time.

So hope you understand if i don't write much to you for a while - though some of our trustees or volunteers might be in touch in the meantime.

I'll post your further comments, of today, and your website link, in our community.

Thanks again Ron
Cheers
Chris
