Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs): I am a senior Indian print and online journalist who also holds a doctorate in African Studies. In my two decade-long career, I have written and researched on practically every subject, including politics, scientific and medical research, human rights, gender issues, child rights, and business.
This gives me a wider perspective than most people in the field, and helps me look at every issue holistically from every aspect possible. Quite naturally, I look at peace and conflict resolution as an imperative to counter the massive problems of poverty, malnutrition and deprivation that the third world is currently grappling with, given the massive changes climate change is bringing upon the planet.

I am a professor leading the Dept.of socioogy and counseling Univ. of Agri.Sciences, Bangalore, did my doctorate in Counseling Sociology, areas of specialisation are Indian System of Counseling and therapy, arbitration, conflict management and family life education.
