Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
I’m currently working with Concern Afghanistan as a Civil Society and Education Coordinator. Most recently I worked with Mercy Corps Sudan as a Programme Manager for the Civil Society Unit. I have also worked for IRC Kenya/Somalia as a consultant - Civil Society Coordinator, in Somalia for CARE International as a coordinator for Civil Society and acting Chief of Party for the Somali Civil Society and Media in Transition. I previously worked with Save the Children USA in Republic of South Sudan as Education Coordinator and CARE International in Kenya as Education Senior Programme Officer among others.
I graduated from Moi University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Art Degree in Linguistics and Literary Studies, with a minor in Sociology. Thereafter, I pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Education at Maseno University. I’m currently a student at the University of Nairobi pursuing a Master of Art degree in Armed Conflict and Peace Studies.
I have international experience in management and implementation of multi-sectoral programmes and teams in Afghanistan, Kenya, Somalia/Somaliland and Republic of South Sudan. These interventions are coupled with capacity assessment and strengthening of the CSOs and sub granting quick impact projects in health, education, disability, rural development, women’s empowerment and water and sanitation.
