Profile Information

Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself or the work of your organization (no more than 3 paragraphs)
I am from Limerick, Ireland. I completed my undergraduate studies in University College Cork in 2008, where I obtained a joint honours degree in History & Politics, with a particular emphasis on the Irish party system and female migration from Ireland to the UK. Following on from there, I undertook an MSc in Comparative European Politics from Trinity College Dublin, graduating in early 2010. As part of my masters program, I chose to assess the role of ethnic outbidding, in the Northern Irish political system following the Good Friday Agreement, as the topic of his thesis. My research interests include issues such as, migration, voter behavior, EU and national party systems and the role that gender plays in conflicted societies. I am currently a research intern with the conflict research institute; INCORE, in Derry, Northern Ireland, where I am presently engaged in a research paper that is assessing the impact that the consociational power structures in the region have on the ethnic minority community who reside here.
