Owor Arthur is a Researcher on Policy and Governance Issues in Northern Uganda and a Socio-Political Critique. He worked as Teaching Assistant with Department of Development Studies in Gulu University for two years and holds a B.A in Social Sciences from Makerere University, Kampala and is completing his M.A in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies from the same University with major in Security Studies.

Past work has focused on the political and economic consequences of war and violence and on the media . I have trained media practitioners on Peace and Development Journalism. I have engaged in several research projects on formerly abducted children in Northern Uganda and on Land Conflicts and Internally Displaced Persons Resettlement in Amuru District. The latter was presented by me at United Nations/Gulu University Peace building Conference in Gulu in April 2012. I am currently working on Governance Programme on Local Government Scorecard Initiative for Amuru and Gulu Districts Local Governments for the Financial Year 2011/2012 .
