Profile Information

What motivated you (or your organization) to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
The need to pay fervent attention to Conflict prevention/ resolution, Peace, human security and development is very evident in Africa. 16 out of the 52 African countries experienced one form of conflict or instability in the 1999. Yes, it is so sad to see how leaders in Africa have lost the plot and fail to SERVE the people there. Let's hope and pray that people will unite and collaborate to get rid of such evil, greedy, fear based control men who destroy millions of lives.
Keep up the great work you do to empower others.

Wish you every success on your journey. Please add me as a friend as I cannot add any more due to ning restrictions.

Well, as you know indian society has many forces that creates different identity of women ( most marginalized or poorest among poor) . calamities like tsunami makes situation more verse . crime with women is so high .one of the state 'Chatisgarh' 959 reported rape cases in 2001 unreported cases could be 20 times more than this . on the other hand India has making many women pro policies and legislation with aim to provide more opportunity to women in leadership role . many state Govt has announced 50% reservation 4 women in block level elections . domestic violence act 2005 passed to protect women . land right act and some relaxation in taxes if land is purchased on the name of women and many more . i think there are many thing to look into the matter eg. govt. policy , welfare schemes , political scenario, economic opportunity to the women so and so .
